Eli Collins-Brown Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Eli Collins-Brown celebrates 12 years as an e-Learning expert in Higher Education
PEORIA, IL, August 20, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eli Collins-Brown, Director of Instructional Technology and Faculty Development for the Methodist College of Nursing, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in online and blended course design, faculty development and higher ed administration.
With 12 years of experience as an instructional designer, teacher and administrator of online and blended instruction, Eli Collins-Brown is responsible for overseeing information technology administrative duties including all computing and desktop support for the college, consulting with faculty members on course design, instructional methods and effectively incorporating technology usage into their teaching. She also teaches courses online and in the classroom. She became involved in her profession after gaining experience in banking, technical writing and graphic web designing, and she attributes her success to the support she received from her mentors.
Dr. Collins-Brown received her Doctor of Education from Illinois State University in 2006. She is a member of the Heart of Illinois Chapter of the American Society for Training & Development, the United States Distance Learning Association, the Professional and Organizational Development Network, The Sloan-C Consortium, The eLearning Guild, and the International Forum for Women in E-Learning.
